Saskatchewan holds first PNP draw of 2022. 104 invited in Saskatchewan’s newest PNP draw for Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates.

Saskatchewan offered 104 candidates from the immigration field to apply for provincial nominations on the 12th of January.

In the first drawing of this year, it was announced that the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited candidates to apply via two immigration streams. Of the eligible applicants, 37 are qualified to apply for SINP’s Express Entry subcategory, and 67 might be capable of using the Occupations In-Demand category.

The candidate with the lowest score from each subcategory earned the lowest score of 68 points in Saskatchewan’s Expression of Interest (EOI) scoring system.

In this lottery, Saskatchewan invited candidates with previous experience working in the following professions: medical laboratory technologists, psychologists, paramedical jobs, medical sonographers and occupational therapists, and medical radiologists.

Both categories of candidates required Education Credential Tests to prove that their education abroad was comparable to that of the Canadian standard.

About Saskatchewan’s Express Entry subcategory

The Express Entry Entry subcategory is an upgraded Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP), which is tied with the national Express Entry system.

Express Entry manages the pool of applicants for three of Canada’s major class-based immigration programmes: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Candidates with Express Entry profiles must also make an EOI profile for Saskatchewan to be eligible to apply for the provincial nomination.

Express Entry applicants who have received nominations from the provincial province of Saskatchewan receive 600 points towards the Complete Ranking System score. This is a guarantee that they will have the possibility of applying to become Canadian permanent residents.

The subcategory Occupations In-Demand is about

The Occupations In-Demand subcategory is a PNP base, which means it is available to immigrants who don’t have an Express Entry profile.

This category is for highly skilled individuals with expertise in an occupation in high demand in Saskatchewan and who have not yet received an offer of employment in Saskatchewan.

To be eligible to apply for Canadian immigration in this category, foreign citizens must create an EOI profile using The SINP’s online application.

Saskatchewan’s EOI program allows the province to pick applicants for immigration who can thrive within the prairie region. Candidates will be evaluated by how their experience in the workplace and education level, as well as their language proficiency and age, as well as connections to Saskatchewan, demonstrate their potential to live in Saskatchewan.
