What exactly is a temporary Skill-Shortage Visa (subclass 482)?

A temporary Skill shortage visa (subclass 482) or “TSS visa” is a work visa that allows Australian employers to provide someone from outside the country to work in their company in Australia.

Note: There is no age requirement for the TSS visa.

What are the general requirements for employers to apply for a Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)?

Companies that sponsor nationals from abroad to work in Australia using the TSS visa must:

  • You must be a legally operating business

  • Find a job opportunity for a foreign national who is genuine and full-time.

  • Documentation from Labour Market Testing, if required

How do I apply for a Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)?
