Saskatchewan launches new International Healthcare Worker EOI Pool. The purpose of the pool is to help connect healthcare workers with job opportunities in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan has created a new International Healthcare Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) Pool.

The pool will be operated as part of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

The new International Health Worker EOI submission procedure isn’t an application to the SINP. The application process allows applicants to complete the online form indicating they are interested in a specific health-related field in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan will review your qualifications, and if they believe that you possess the qualifications employers seek, The province will contact you with details on the best way to apply for the position.

Suppose you’re offered an offer by an employer you are considering And offered a recommendation from a prospective employer. In that case, you may be qualified to apply for the SINP’s International Skilled Worker: Employment Offer or the Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot.

International Skilled Worker: Job Offer

The criteria to be eligible for this stream are as follows:

  • You have legal rights for legal recognition if you live in Canada.
  • Be sure to have an average Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 4 for the four language abilities (reading, writing and listening), speaking, as well as speaking)
  • Get a permanent, full-time employment offer from a Saskatchewan employer that is registered with the SINP.
  • At least one year of experience in the job you want to do in the last 10 years.
  • Get proof of your eligibility to get Saskatchewan licensure if the position you provide falls within an area subject to regulation by Saskatchewan, which requires a required license.
  • You have to earn 60 points out of 110 on the grid to pass the points assessment.

The Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot

The requirements for pilots, first announced on November 25, 2021, includes:

  • Get a permanent full-time job from a Saskatchewan employer that SINP recognizes.
  • You must satisfy the minimum CLB requirements for language.
  • Meet the education and work requirements for experience. This requires one year of experience in the same field specified in the job description—six months of work experience in the same job in Saskatchewan.

  • You must have at least one year of work experience within the past 10 years in your intended profession.
  • You must prove your eligibility requirements for Saskatchewan licensure if the job you offer falls in a field regulated by Saskatchewan and requires mandatory licensure.
